A Hop to the Store
A downloadable game for Windows
A very short first-person platformer prototype of me attempting (and failing) to replicate source engine bunny hopping. This was for an university class.
STORY & OBJECTIVE
You go out to buy milk and cereal from your local 7-11 when suddenly you are trapped in a level-based obstacle course. Worse yet, you have to hop to get to the items you need. At least you don't have to pay.
To set expectations, this was coded with duct-tape and a dream. There are no settings, menus or keybind changes. The radio that plays/stops music barely functions (but it looks neat god dangit).
CONTROLS
WASD - Movement
E - Interact
R - Restart
Space - Jump (you can hold to keep jumping)
ESC - Exit game
TIPS
Use A and D to air strafe as you jump.
The more you jump, the faster you get (shown by the speed counter at the top left).
You WILL need to keep your momentum between platforms in order to win.
ASSETS USED
- Assetsville Town from Unreal Marketplace
- "Milk Carton" by Chris
- "Cereal pack" by Paula
- "VR store" by Michael Zhang

Good luck.
